Hundreds Supporters of a former governor of Zanfara State, Alhaji Ahamed Sani Yeriman under the umbrella of Yerima Support Organization (YSO) stormed Ibadan, the Oyo state capital on Wednesday to launch presidential campaign for the former governor.
The Personal Assistant to the former governor, Comrade Oluyemi Olusina who addressed the media shortly after the launch said the governor would not impose Sharia law on Nigerians, if elected.
According to him, over ten million Nigerians across the country have volunteered to work for emergence of the former governor in 2023.
He however said the former governor is not desperate to become the president in 2023, adding that Nigerians will decide the fate of his boss in 2023.
“We have 10million members in our database already. We are lunching it here because it is the political headquarters of the southwest. As we speak now, people have been donating cars, phones and valuable things to our group,” he said.
The Sarkin Yaki Yerima, Alhaji Aminu Bature-Kuchere said the people of Zanfara state enjoyed the dividend of democracy during the time of Yerima as governor.
Bature-Kuchere urged Nigerians to support the presidential ambition of the former governor for the prosperous and betterment of the country.
