Women Journalists Congratulate Ademola Babalola, Others On Re-lection, Seek More Supports For Oyo NUJ
Women Journalists in Oyo state under the banner of the Nigeria Association of women journalists (NAWOJ), on Wednesday congratulated the Chairman the state Council, Comrade Ademola Babalola and other members of his executive over their reelection.
Oyoecho reports that other elected and re-eleceted executives are; Seye Ojo (Vice chairman), Sola Ladapo (Secretary), Comrade Dauda Aderogba (Asistance Secretary), Akeem Abas (Treasurer) and Abiodun Atilola (Financial Secretary).
Our correspondent reports that journalists in the state on Tuesday unanimously compensated Ademola Babalola led executive with their votes for its unprecedented achievements in the last three years in the saddle at the state council.
Appreciating the team on Wednesday, women journalists in a statement issued by its Chairperson, Jadesola Ajibola said; “the entire members of the the Nigeria Association of women journalists, NAWOJ Oyo state Chapter hearty felicitate with you and your newly elected executive members for the success recorded.”
She further said in the statement that; “We wish to felicitate with our own Comrade Ademola Babalola on his re-election as chairman of Oyo NUJ for a second term.
“We the entire members of the the Nigeria Association of women journalists, NAWOJ Oyo state Chapter hearty felicitate with you and your newly elected executive members for the success recorded during your first term and how far you have taken the state council of our union.
“There is no doubt in our minds that your second term would bring good things to the entire journalists in the state. We use this opportunity to urge your entire executive members to continue to give you the needed support that will take the state council to a greater height.
“Oyo NAWOJ prays that God will continue to protect all journalists even as the 2023 general elections draws closer.”
