Olubadan Elevates 5 Chiefs in Balogun Line, Charges Them on Unity and Development

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, has promoted five chiefs in the Balogun line, comprising four senior chiefs and one junior chief, in a traditional elevation ceremony held at the new Olubadan palace in Oke Aremo.

The elevated chiefs are Senior Chief Samuel Adegboyega Adeniran, now Abese Balogun; Senior Chief Taiwo Anthony Adebayo Oyekan, now Maye Balogun; Senior Chief Raufu Amusa Eleruwere, now Ekefa Balogun; Senior Chief Emiola Onideure, now Agbakin Balogun; and Chief (Barrister) Tirimisiyu Arowolo Obisesan, now Aare Alaasa Balogun.

Oba Olakulehin congratulated the new chiefs and charged them to use their new positions for the progress, unity, and development of Ibadanland, Oyo State, and Nigeria. He also emphasized the need for them to preserve Yoruba culture and improve the lives of Ibadan residents and indigenes.

The event was attended by members of the Olubadan-in-Council, Mogajis, Baales, political office holders, market leaders, and religious leaders.
