NUJ Set To Induct Makinde As Grand Patron

 

 

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has commended Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State for his people-oriented policies and programs.

 

The union’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, held in Ibadan on June 21, 2024, applauded the governor’s achievements in the state.

 

Presided over by NUJ President, Chief (Dr.) Chris Isiguzo, MFR, the meeting appreciated Governor Makinde for hosting the NEC meeting successfully. The union urged him to sustain the tempo of development in the state.

 

In recognition of his contributions to the development of Oyo State, the NUJ resolved to confer its Grand Patron award on Governor Makinde on July 8, 2024, in Ibadan.

 

During the visit, the NUJ President led other NEC members on a tour of some state government projects, including the Circular road and Challenge Terminals, amongst others.

 

The union’s commendation is a testament to Governor Makinde’s commitment to the welfare of the people of Oyo State and his dedication to infrastructural development.
