Hon. Olajide Odidiomo Fixes New Adeoyo, Federal High Court Road (video)
In a move to alleviate the sufferings of motorists and pedestrians plying the new adeoyo, federal high court road, the federal lawmaker representing Ibadan North-west/Ibadan South-west federal constituency of Oyo state has embarked on palliative measures to temporarily fix the deplorable road.
This comes ahead of the commencement of the road’s total overhaul, which is part of his constituency project.
The road, which has been in a state of disrepair for years, has become a nightmare for users, causing untold hardship and frustration.
According to Tolu Mustapha, Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs to Hon. Olajide, the federal lawmaker has listed 14 roads for reconstruction as part of his constituency project and the new adeoyo, federal high court road is among them.
He said Odidiomo’s intervention has brought hope to the residents of the area, as the palliative measures has significantly improved the road’s condition and also disclosed that the rehabilitation of the new adeoyo, federal high court road is expected to improve economic activities in the area, create jobs for youths and stimulate economic growth in the community.
Mustapha, while speaking further on the rehabilitation exercise said, “Hon. Olajide understands the plight of his people and is committed to alleviating their suffering.
He said the project is also aimed at enhancing movement of goods and services and also enhance the quality of life of his constituents.
He described the ongoing palliative measures as a temporary solution to the problem, and confirmed that Hon. Olajide is working tirelessly towards the commencement of the full rehabilitation of the road and thirteen others soon.”
Mustapha also disclosed that Hon. Olajide, directed that the scope of work on the ongoing palliative measures must include the filling of potholes, repair of damaged drains, and clearing of the road’s shoulders and also assured that the road will be fully reconstructed with durable materials to ensure its longevity.
