The Oyo State government has announced the release of the 2023/2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) timetable for public and private schools in the state.
According to the Registrar of Education, Mr. Awodeji Johnson, the examination will commence on July 23, 2024, with National Value and Christian Religious/Islamic Studies, and end on August 1, 2024, with Arabic Language/Hausa/Igbo language.
The examination is scheduled to start at 9:00 am daily across all designated centers in the state. Additionally, the 2024 Screening/Placement exercise will take place on July 27, 2024, with subjects including Mathematics, English Studies, and Social Studies.
The Commissioner for Education, Prof. Salihu Adelabu, emphasized the state government’s commitment to providing quality education and maintaining a standardized examination process.
He urged schools, teachers, and students to plan their study schedules accordingly and advised stakeholders to disseminate the information widely to ensure everyone is well-informed and prepared for the examination.
