Oyo NUJ Fetes Abib Olamitoye as Ibadan Central Hospital Clocks 26
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Oyo State Council on Wednesday congratulated its benefactor, Dr. Abib Olamitoye, the founder of Ibadan Central Hospital, Ososami, Ibadan, the State capital as the ICH-Ososami branch of the hospital marked 26years of existence.
The NUJ in a statement issued by its State Chairman, Comrade Ademola Babalola and made available to reporters by the Union’s Secretary, Sola Oladapo applauded the medical excellence of the hospital in the past 26years of rendering affordable and accessible care to the haves and have-nots in the society.
Babalola also recalled Dr Abib Olamitoye many philanthropic gestures to the development of the State including the donation of a 150-seater capacity Hall to the journalists in the State at the Press Centre in Iyaganku GRA, Ibadan.
According to the Chairman, “Today, we celebrate not only our benefactor but also the Ibadan Central Hospital. We celebrate a significant milestone in the history of Ibadan Central Hospital – 26 years of providing quality healthcare services to our community. “
As a journalist, “I am filled with immense pride and gratitude as I reflect on the hospital’s journey so far.
“From humble beginnings to the reputable institution it has built for itself over the years, we celebrate its founder’s commitment to excellence and compassion for the people of Ibadanland and Oyo State in general.
“That Dr Abib Olamitoye has remained unwavering in his pursuit of excellence is a great example of how a better society can evolve for the good of all.
“The founder has been privileged to touch countless lives, and I am grateful to his team of dedicated staff, loyal patients, and supportive partners who have made this landmark celebration in the last 26years possible.
“As you mark this anniversary, I want to express my deepest appreciation to everyone who has contributed to the hospital’s growth and success.
“Your tireless efforts, trust, and encouragement have truly been the driving force behind the hospital’s many breakthroughs.
“May Ibadan Central Hospital continue to be a beacon of hope and healing for generations to come,” Babalola added.
