Lanlehin Promises To Restore LAUTECH’s Lost Glory
The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the forthcoming general elections in Oyo state, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin has promised to revamp and restore the lost glory of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTHEC), if elected as the next governor of the state.
LAUTHEC, a jointly owned university by Osun and Oyo state governments has been facing financial and administrative challenges for the past seven and half years which resulted in incessant industrial action of the workers of the institution.
Oyoecho33 reports that the institution was once rated as the best state owned university in Nigeria.
Lanlehin in a statement by his Director of Public Communication, New Media and Tertiary Institutions, Engr Akeem Olatunji, promised to ensure the education sector in the state is being revamped.
Also, the Buber candidate held a meeting with LAUTECH academic community stakeholders, where he frowned at the manner at which money spinning ventures like LAUTECH farm, LAUTECH Distance Learning Program, Pre-Degree Program and other initiatives designed to boost LAUTECH internally generated revenue were frustrated by the APC-led administration in the two states.
While welcoming over 3000 defectors from PDP, ADP, ZLP and APC, Lanlehin admonished the people of Ogbomoso to vote enmass for the ADC, the only political party with human face that is poised to bring succour to the people of Oyo state.
He maintained that people of the state have been facing unnecessary hardship and suffering under the harsh and wicked government of the APC.
The rally attracted party faithfuls and members of the public who came in large numbers to listen to the manifestoes of the ADC and its flag bearer, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin in 2019 governorship election.
